Azad Gallery Presents Dasein: A Group Exhibition Curated by Tara Azarm

Taking its title from the German philosophical concept meaning "Being-there," Dasein explores the liminal spaces of human existence. The collection seeks images that grapple with "the question and the absence of an answer". The exhibition poses a central inquiry: "Can one disrupt the drab reality of life and wander in a nature trapped between being and non-being, in an ambiguity that seems enchanted?".

The curatorial statement references the romantic poetry of Novalis (1789), specifically Hymns to the Night, invoking a turn toward the "sacred, indescribable, and mysterious night" where the world lies buried in a deep grave. The participating artists examine whether it is possible to emerge from the heart of an event and recognize the world anew in the face of inevitable occurrences.

The exhibition features works by a diverse group of contemporary artists: Tara Azarm (Curator), Milad Jahangiri, Neda Samadi, Nasim Afshari, Amin Tehrani, Hossein Ghandhari, Nima Sayyadian, Mehran Ranjbar Sistani, Sahra Molali, Mahmoud Reza Zandpour, Afsaneh Javadpour
