The Third
11 - 22 July 2025
As Simple As That…
I have seen.
I have lingered.
I have pondered.
I have been moved—
And so, I have begun to tell.
These are images that appeared on city walls—on dead ends and in narrow alleys. Though born not of an artist’s hand, they have, for me, become art. My encounters with these urban visual events—a long-standing question and preoccupation—have led me toward moments of recognition and discovery. At times, they have echoed the sensibilities of modern and contemporary art, drawing unexpected threads between the street and the studio.
Perhaps these forms do not belong to the usual categories or doctrines of art. But to me, they are questions—unfolding between meanings, among shifting forms.
The city speaks in images. These visual phenomena that surround me are both a reality I live with, and a presence that appears in my work—as document, as mirror, as metaphor. And I, the one who witnesses, become the third person who remembers, reflects, and renders.
